The DISTILLERY in the South

Naute Distillery  on C12 at Naute Dam

On the plantations of Naute, the fruits that are cultivated are dates (all palm trees are date palms), prickly pears, table grapes (not for winemaking), some wine grapes, pomegranates and pecan nuts.
Especially the dates and table grapes are exported.
Therefore, Naute Kristall adds and expands the value to the project of the government by using the best fruits for our exquisite products
The plantations encompass an area of 900 hectares

NAUTE DAM south from Keetmanshoop

550km south of Windhoek, close to Keetmanshoop
on the way to Fish-River Canyon – C12
The Naute Dam was built in 1973 for the water supply of the city Keetmanshoop
The  Naute Dam is primarily used for the supply of water to neighbouring towns and for the irrigation of the fruit plantations. What was previously barren, unfertile land now consists of 900 ha of grapes, dates, prickly pears and pomegranates. These fruits are the basis of our exquisit products.
The project called „Naute“ is a governmental project, that was supposed to support Namibian farmers by showing how to plant different kinds of fruit.
Meanwhile it has become a project for export to other countries.
